Healthcare Assistant (HCA)

Role Overview:

As a Healthcare Assistant, you will support individuals with their daily living needs, providing hands-on care while promoting independence, dignity, and comfort. You’ll work as part of a friendly, experienced team delivering high-quality person-centred care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assisting with personal care including washing, dressing, and toileting
• Supporting with mobility, mealtime assistance, and medication
• Engaging in meaningful activities and offering companionship
• Monitoring and reporting changes in clients’ physical or emotional condition
• Following care plans and maintaining accurate records
• Ensuring a safe, clean, and supportive environment at all times

Requirements:

• Minimum 6 months of previous care experience (preferred but not essential)
• A caring and empathetic nature
• Good communication and time management skills
• Right to work in the UK
• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply for one)
• Manual handling and basic life support training (can be arranged if needed)
